Alex Lovell, TV Presenter, Corporate Host, MC, Facilitator, Awards Host, Alex presents Five's exciting daily live quiz show, Brainteaser, which is about to enter its fourth year. She is also the new daily news anchor for BBC Points West and presents the weekly Out and About report. She recently provided the voice over for Fool Around for E4 and T4 and she appeared in My Dad's The Prime Minister by Iain Hislop for BBC1 She is also known to children as the host of the award winning Playhouse Disney with Dave Benson Philips. Alex originally trained in theatre, playing "Linda" in Blood Brothers before taking a part in a number 1 theatre tour with the BBC hit show, Playdays. She has starred in 3 major pantomimes, including in 2002 playing Cinderella in Woking opposite Julian Clary. In 2003, she again played Cinderella, but this time in Nottingham with Bobby Davro. Alex has hosted a number of live events including a concert at The Royal Albert Hall in aid of Barnardos, and outside broadcast for Children in Need and she presented in front of an audience of 15,000 at London Arena for The Disney Kids Awards. Alex's corporate experience includes public events, awards ceremonies and press launches. She has also done a range of voiceovers for children's and adults' programming.
