Six Continents and countless albums later, Freddie Ravel continues to inspire audiences around the globe. His passion for bridging world cultures through music has led to over two decades of international acclaim and the creation Tune Up to Success™, an unprecedented program that reveals music as the perfect metaphor for the dynamics of business.
The Los Angeles native embraced music at age five to become an Honor Graduate of Music from Cal State University Northridge. Soon afterward, his reputation as a top studio artist was named by The Hollywood Reporter as “one of L. A.’s truly great keyboardists.”
Contemporary Music audiences have made enduring radio favorites of his two popular recordings 1991’s Midnight Passion and 1996’s Sol to Soul. In this album and related seminars, Mr. Ravel collaborated with the icon of mind body medicine, Dr. Deepak Chopra, who comments: “Freddie’s expression comes from the spirit which is infinite silence and dynamism at the same time.” 2001 brought the third fiery and sensual Universal release, Freddie Ravel which scored the #1-in-the- USA hit, “Sunny Side Up” and continues to dominate the airwaves.
The multi-platinum composer’s ability to blend musical styles has garnered partnerships with such top music-industry luminaries as Quincy Jones, Sergio Mendes, Tony Bennett, Luis Miguel and the Boston Pops. In Earth Wind and Fire’s 1993 Millennium, Ravel co-produced the group’s very first Salsa, “Honor the Magic”. A 1995 call from Madonna led to joint MTV appearances and a featured piano solo for her sizzling remix of “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina” from EVITA. In 1999, Freddie joined Five-time Grammy vocalist Al Jarreau to produce Tomorrow Today.
On a very different note, Mr. Ravel’s piano arrangement of “God Bless America ” for the Wonderful World of Disney touched millions the week following 9/11/01 . Client successes continue with such notables as: AOL Time-Warner, Bell Canada , Microsoft, Panasonic, Sony, Universal, University of Southern California , Columbia and Wal-Mart.
Dedicated to saving lives and giving hope to underprivileged children, ANGELCARE has chosen Mr. Ravel as their spokesperson. It is in this same spirit of contribution that Tune Up to Success™ dedicates its mission of raising human potential through the metaphor of music.”
