Patrick is the owner of his own personal development organisation. He is also a keynote motivational speaker and after-dinner speaker.
Born in Dublin, he was educated at the College of Technology, where he qualified in cinematography. He secured a job as a technician at Humphries Film Laboratories, London. Three years later, he was appointed Film Editor, the youngest ever to hold that position.
Various career changes followed; Patrick was a successful humorist appearing on several TV shows; a salesman (packaging machinery); a BBC studio audience warm-up artist; a cruise line entertainer and he now runs a corporate training company.
Areas of Expertise
Patrick's goal in life is to persuade people that they can easily become more successful. Most of us struggle because we make decisions to avoid pain in the short term. When you do that, you create pain in the long term. People who succeed are those who are willing to do whatever is necessary in the short term to create their vision for the long term. That is the common denominator of success.
Patrick's keynote motivational speech is exceptional because he mixes the subject of personal development with humour. The result is electrifying. Humour is the lubricant that helps the content go down smoother. Patrick is a great motivational speaker because he enthuses people to take action. Motivation and high self-esteem are intertwined.
He shows his listeners how to develop their self-esteem, demonstrates how they can eliminate most of the stress of life, shows them techniques that they can take away to enable them to close more sales, manage time better, communicate better, or become a better team leader. Best of all, his message is clear and simple to implement.
Patrick's after-dinner speech has more of an emphasis on humour than on personal development, yet incorporates a good element of motivational message. In fact, he is probably the only 'motivational humorist' on the after-dinner circuit!
