Tommy Walsh, Ground Force, After Dinner Speaker, TV Presenter, Builder, Awards Host, Facilitator, Tommy got involved in Ground Force whilst he was doing private building work for the executive producer, she invited him for a screen test and the rest is history. Ground Force has gone from strength to strength including huge success in America. He has also presented several DIY shows for Discovery: DIY Survival & Challenge Tommy now in its 3rd series. Other credits include presenting BBC's Death by Gardening. His first book DIY Survival was in the UK's bestsellers list and he has since published a further 4 DIY project books all with Harper Collins. Tommy is one of six children born and bred in East London. His father ran a company making building products in Tottenham and Tommy started early on the DIY trail by going to work with his Dad at weekends and during the school holidays from the age of four. After school Tommy went straight to work for his Dad and they moved into manufacturing gardening products and then started to do contracts and fitting. Tommy eventually went onto specialise in the restoration of period homes. He's been in TV 8 years and has written four books, and counting!
