Topics / Content:

“Nobody knows what is going on around here” is a common complaint and frustrated leaders try a range of new systems and methods to improve the communication process. However, research shows that in most cases the processes are not the real problem. A more fundamental issue hides behind the complaints about communication.

In this session we will examine how to manage communication and how to identify the real issues. We will examine the impact that can be made when communication is working effectively. Most importantly we will discuss what leaders need to do to ensure that communication works.

Content will include:

The real barriers to communication

What makes communication work

Who is responsible for communication working?

Balance of listening and talking

Creating an atmosphere for communication to happen

Measuring communication

Outcomes:

This workshop shows how communication is not the problem that people say it is. Many organisations will spend a lot of time and money putting in new communication processes which are never going to work because there is a more fundamental problem. Participants will have a new understanding of the issues surrounding communication and how to overcome them in their organisation.

Costs:

Total workshop cost is £4500 + Vat per day.
